My Story
I was raised in church, not the building, but within a community of believers. Each Sunday, loaded down with four generations (from my great-grandma to my siblings, cousins, and myself) we piled into the family sedan and set out for church services. It still puzzles me as to how we all fit. Seat belt laws have definitely put a limit on how many can be crammed into a car to go praise the Lord! But off we went, every Sunday morning to do just that. And I have plenty of perfect attendance pins to show for it.
A foundation of faith was being built during those years even if I didn’t realize it at the time. Oh, how grateful I am that the women in my life saw fit that I be involved in so many church activities. A time would come when I would stray so far from my roots that I would doubt whether I could find my way back. However, because of the commitment Godly women made to disciple to me, I had a rock solid foundation still standing, waiting to be rebuilt when I decided to come back home.
Here’s where I am now, rebuilding on that firm foundation that was constructed when I was a child. As I now read the Bible daily and do my devotions, I am growing stronger in my faith. Lessons from my youth are coming back to guide me in my adult life. I feel a strong calling from God to share my journey of faith with you. I pray that as you read my posts, that you feel the love of our Savior and that you grow closer to Him, like I am doing.
